摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a long-life metal electrode as a structure for an electrode for electrolysis and a structure for a catalyst which is used in the corrosive atmosphere, has a sufficient resistant property in a fluid and is utilized for an electrode for industrial electrolysis and a catalyst, which is strengthened as the structure containing a metal carrier and a ceramic-based main body, and which is chemically and physically stabilized. <P>SOLUTION: An electrical conductive titanium nitride layer is formed on the surface of a metal or ceramic of a base material, and the structure of forming a coating film is generated by coating of a noble metal catalytic layer containing a noble metal oxide on the layer. Thereby, the malleability and ductility of a metal of a base material are retained, the surface is protected by titanium nitride which is regarded to have the highest hardness in the surface, and an extremely active and stable electrolyte exists in the surface. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
