<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an instrument and a method for living eye discrimination by which discrimination can be realized by a simple system in a time shorter than that required for conventional systems. <P>SOLUTION: A spectral reflectance acquisition part 101 acquires a spectral reflectance for the white of the eye to be the subject of discrimination.
