<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing system or the like which can realize the printing service to home delivery slips by a simple configuration. <P>SOLUTION: The printing system 10 includes a printer 20 which carries out printing of the home delivery slips, a scanner 60 which reads a symbol image which represents coded address information as a fill-in item to the home delivery slip, and an adapter device 40 used by being connected to the printer 20 and the scanner 60. The adapter device 40 is equipped with a printing format information storage means 310 which stores printing format information related to a printing format on the home delivery slip of the address information, a decoding means 320 which acquires and decodes the symbol image read by the scanner, a printing data generating means 330 which generates printing data by adding the printing format information to text data of the address information acquired by decoding, and a data transferring means 350 which transfers the generated printing data to the printer 20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
