<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the convenience of a service provision system for providing a plurality of types of services, by appropriately evaluating each service and providing the evaluation result for a user terminal device. <P>SOLUTION: A composite machine 10 generates, in a bookmark file and a use history file, history information on operations made by users to receive services provided by service software 37 at the peripheral, and sends the contents of the files to a directory server 20. The directory server 20 receives the information, registers use content data representing the contents of the files in a service use information database 27 about every composite machine 10, evaluates each service provided by a function server 30 according to the data, and records the result in an evaluation table 28.
