PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a porous film carrying a reactive polymer for separator on it, which can be suitably used for manufacturing a battery having an enough adhesiveness between an electrode and the separator, low in internal resistance, and superior in high rate characteristic; and a method of manufacturing the battery using the reactive polymer-carrying porous film like this. SOLUTION: The porous film on which the reactive polymer for the separator for battery is carried, is formed by reacting a cross-linking polymer having at least one kind of reactive group selected from between a 3-oxetanyl group and an epoxy group in the molecule with an acid anhydride, and cross-linking a part of it. Furthermore, the method of manufacturing battery is comprised of injecting an electrolyte containing a cationic polymerization catalyst into a battery container after setting an electrode/reactive polymer-carrying porous film laminate in the battery container, and adhering the porous film with the electrode.
