A power supply circuit Bx supplying discharge current to the electrodes E1 and E2 which are mainly for discharging and a starter Ue producing high voltage between one of the both polarity electrodes E1 and E2 mainly for discharging and the auxiliary electrode Et are connected in the light source apparatus.
