PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sample variety of face images for authentication without requiring time only for that and realize the efficient registration of candidates of various face images for authentication in face authentication in a vehicle. SOLUTION: An authentication data sampling control means (an image processing unit 20 and a vehicle-side controller 30) is provided, which is connected to an on-vehicle device so that a specific signal(for example, a mirror-adjusting signal) outputted from the on-vehicle device in accordance with a driving state of a vehicle may be received, executes a continuous photographing operation which makes a camera 10 continuously execute photographing operations, and registers data based on the images, which are photographed by the camera 10 in a period of time from prescribe time before the reception of the specific signal to prescribed time after the reception of the specific signal, as the candidates of the face data for authentication, in a candidate data storage means 24a when it receives the specific signal during the continuous photographing operations.
