PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylinder head gasket having a relatively simple constitution for giving high follow-up performance to a seal portion and preventing the occurrence of brinelling on the side of an engine member while reducing the weight of the gasket. SOLUTION: The cylinder head gasket 1A comprises two metal base plates 10, 20 laminated and a fold-back portion 11 having a cavity 12 inside with the first metal base plate 10 folded back around a combustion chamber hole 2. On the second metal base plate 20 laminated on the fold-back side of the fold-back portion 11 and having a bearing pressure adjusting function and compression restoring performance, a full bead 21 is arranged which encircles the fold-back portion 12 forming a primary seal to form a secondary seal in a state of being shifted not to be laid on the fold-back portion 12. The end 20a of the second metal base plate 20 on the side of the fold-back portion 12 is located outside the end 11a of the fold-back portion 11. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
