PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high quality compressor of which noise does not weight on user's mind by surely shortening vane chattering time at a time of even pressure start further for meeting high quality demand of the user for indoor noise getting severer every year. SOLUTION: This compressor includes a vane back pressure control device 16 provided with an oil supply open close means opening and closing an oil supply passage 18 and a gas open close means opening and closing a gas supply passage 27, and has a structure independently keeping communication of the oil supply passage 18 and the gas supply passage to the vane back pressure chamber 17. Consequently, since gas supply is not obstructed by lubricating oil in the gas supply passage 27 at a time of start, gas pressure is quickly introduced to the vane back pressure chamber 17 and the vane back pressure chamber 17 gets under regular compression condition to suppress vane chattering noise in a short period of time.
