PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device for an endoscope having a fracture prevention part constituted to secure a favorable assemblage, to provide a sure waterproofing performance and facilitate disassembling and assembling for a repair and the like. SOLUTION: This imaging device 3 for an endoscope is provided with an imaging unit 10, a signal cable 19 extending from the imaging unit, and a cable protection member 27 provided near an extension portion of the signal cable and protecting the signal cable. The inside of the cable protection member is molded to be directly and closely attached on the surface of an outer sheath 21 of the signal cable, its outside is connected to the external member 30 of the imaging device for the endoscope via a flange projection part 17a for watertight sealing and is molded to project the tip side of the signal cable by a predetermined length, the outer surface of the tip projecting portion of the signal cable is provided with a cable shield layer 22 and a metal member 23, and the cable shield layer and the metal member are so constituted as to conduct to a metal member 17 on the imaging device side for the endoscope.
