PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide coated paper for printing affording high white paper glossiness and high printing gloss. SOLUTION: The coated paper for printing is provided with a coating layer consisting essentially of a pigment and a binder on base paper. In the coating layer, kaolin in an amount of≥40 to≤85 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. of the whole pigment is compounded. The kaolin has≥90% TAPPI whiteness and 0.2-1.1μm average particle diameter and further has a particle diameter distribution in which the amount of particles having≤2μm particle diameter is≥98% based on the whole particles.
