PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compressed wood product capable of easily molding a complicated three-dimensional shape and having a proper strength, and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: After an outer member comprising wood is compressed into a predetermined shape, an inner member, which has an outside surface almost having the same shape as the inside surface of the compressed outer member and comprises a substance containing a thermoplastic resin (preferably a general-purpose engineering resin), is superposed on the outer member to bond the inside surface of the outer member and the outside surface of the inner member or to collectively compress the outer member and the inner member.
