PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combine harvester designed to facilitate or eliminate uncoupling a divider rod and a control lever from each other in making a retreating swing of a header. SOLUTION: The combine harvester includes the divider rod 13 on the unharvested ground side of a header 2 coupled to the front portion of the machine body so as to be switchable between a posture for dividing uncut stem culms by overhanging from the side part of the header 2 and a posture housed along the side part of the header 2, wherein the header 2 is retreatingly swingable to one side around a longitudinal shaft 2a. In this combine harvester, in coupling the divider rod 13 to the control lever 17 operable from the steering seat 6 and making the posture changeover of the divider rod 13 by the operative force of the control lever 17, a flexible means(e.g. a flexible mechanism 19) allowing the header 2 to make a retreating swing is interposed between the divider rod 13 and the control lever 17.
