<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data management system which is hard to cause shortage of empty memory capacity in each data storage device and hard to degrade use environment of the data storage devices. <P>SOLUTION: The data management system comprises a plurality of data storage devices MFP (1) to (n), each having a data transfer function and connected to a network. Each of the data storage devices MFP (1) to (n) is provided with a receiving means for receiving the data transmitted from the other data storage devices MFP (1) to (n) of the data management system, a storage means for storing the data received by the receiving means, a transmitting means for transmitting the data to the other data storage devices MFP (1) to (n) of the data management system, and a data management means for directing the transmitting means to transmit the data whose period stored in the storage means has reached the period set as the storage period. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
