<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of forming an image which is excellent in the density stability. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is composed of: a toner control part 70 which controls toner supply by comparing the measured value of toner concentration in a developer with the target value of toner concentration; a reference patch preparing means 65 which prepares a reference patch for concentration control; a toner concentration sensor 7 which measures the density of the reference patch; an electrification voltage control part 80 which control latent image forming conditions so as to obtain the desired density in accordance with the measurement result of the sensor 7; an LD light quantity control part 60; a standard latent image forming condition calculation means 110 which determines standard latent image forming conditions as the latent image forming conditions for obtaining a latent image electric potential of a standard image which changes in accordance with the state of the image forming apparatus; and a toner concentration target value changing means 120 which forms an image by controlling the latent image forming conditions of the electrification voltage control part 80 and the LD light quantity control part 60, compares the latent forming conditions with the standard latent image forming conditions and changes the toner density target value in such a direction that the latent image forming conditions approaches the standard latent image forming conditions. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
