<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To discriminate between a desired signal and a noise component precisely by calculating an optimal threshold through use of one fixed coefficient regardless of the magnitude of SN ratio. <P>SOLUTION: A noise power calculating section 103 calculates an average noise power N from the average value of a delay profile excepting several samples before and after the position of each path based on information about the position of path held in a path holding section 101. A maximum signal power calculating section 104 calculates a maximum signal power S from the delay profile. A threshold calculating section 105 calculates the sum ((S-N)×X+N) of the product of the difference between the maximum signal power S and the average noise power N and a predetermined coefficient X and the average noise power N as a threshold value TH', A path detecting section 106 compares the threshold value TH' with the magnitude of received power and discriminates between the desired signal and the noise component. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
