PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering device enabling selection of steering systems having three steering modes of 4WS, FWS, and RWS. SOLUTION: The steering device has a gear mechanism A having a plurality of gears 37a on the front wheel side and a plurality of gears 37b on the rear wheel side which select one of the 3 steering modes of 4WS, FWS, and RWS by engagement/disengagement between a steering shaft 25 with a mode switching gear 38, three steering mode selection switches 47-49 for selecting the three modes, a control device for engaging the gear 37a on the front wheel side, the gear 37b on the rear wheel side, and the mode switching gear 38 provided on the steering shaft 25 with a gear position corresponding to a selected steering mood of the switches 47-49, and a hydraulic steering unit 30a on the front wheel side and a hydraulic steering unit 30b on the rear wheel side which supply hydraulic oil from a hydraulic pump 2 to the front wheel 11 and the rear wheel, respectively through the gear 37a on the front wheel side and the gear 37b on the rear wheel side of the gear mechanism A by corresponding to a selected steering mood of the three steering modes.
