PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning method by which cleaning property is improved while maintaining high image quality using a spherical toner and in which a photoreceptor does not undergo deterioration such as wear, with respect to an electrophotographic toner. SOLUTION: A powder layer of the toner comprising at least a resin and a pigment and having a circularity of≥0.95 is evenly pressurized and compressed, and when a conical rotor is made to intrude under rotation into the powder layer of the toner, a torque value of the conical rotor generated by the rotational transfer of the conical rotor in the powder layer is≥4.0×10<SP>-3</SP>Nm.
