Each section of a four-section mast of a lift truck comprises a pair of S-section uprights 22, 28 interconnected by a vertical plate 23, 30 and by a bottom plate 38 and a top plate 11. The sections are aligned longitudinally of the truck and support on the bottom plates 38 hydraulic rams which at their upper ends engage the top plates of the adjacent mast sections, the rams being connected hydraulically in series; Fig. 8 (not shown). |
