PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to easily treat media data on external equipment by displaying data with file configurations and file name similar to those of an index file. SOLUTION: This information processor is provided with a reading means for reading a data file and an index file from a recording media in which one or more data files including at least any one media data of video data, audio data and image data and an index file for associating relevant information related with the data file with the data file are recorded and a transmission means for transmitting the data file read by the reading means to external equipment. The transmission means transmits the data file to the external equipment having the file system by generating and transmitting a converted index file where the information of the index file is converted into the structure of the file system owned by the external equipment.
