PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the convenience for a user to use a rice cooker for boiling rice or cooking a cooked object stored in a pot by allowing the user to prepare a meal as the user desires and to cook the object deliciously as the user likes by informing the user that the time the user wants to know elapsed by an information terminal via a communication means even if the user performs different work in another room on the way of rice-boiling or cooking. SOLUTION: Rice or the cooked object is stored in the pot 1 detachably stored in a rice cooker body, and the pot 1 is heated by a heating means 2. The heating means 2 and the communication means 4 for the communication with the information terminal 5 are controlled by a control means 3. When previously set first prescribed time elapsed after the start of rice-boiling or cooking, the control means 3 controls the communication means 4 to inform the user in the information terminal 5 through the communication means 4 that the first prescribed time elapsed.
