<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lateral handle type cable cover stripper where unreasonableness does not occur in the work posture on a work site because the load needed for the handle operation for cover cutting is small. <P>SOLUTION: This is a lateral handle type cable cover stripper where an under jaw 5 is made via a downward bend 2 at the tip of the main body 1, and a lower edge 6 is fixed to the top side of the under jaw 5, and the tip of a handle 4 is pivoted on the roughly center of the bend 2 by the first pin 3, and an edge block 9 equipped with an upper edge 10 and a slide bearing 15 equipped with a stripping edge 16 are supported, slidably by a slot, by this first pin 3, and the tip of a link 13 pivoted by the third pin 14 of the handle 4 is coupled by the second pin 12 to the rear section of these edge block 9 and the slide bearing 15. A three-node link mechanism is adopted, in which at cutting of a cover, the edge tips of the upper edge 10 and the lower edge 6 and the first pin 3 and the second pin 12 are roughly on the same straight line, and besides the first pin 3, the second pin 12, and the third pin 14 constitute a roughly equilateral triangle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
