<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the communication of a component, such as casing, possible even when there is a difference in size between a transmission submodule and a receiving submodule because of a difference between a transmitting rate and a receiving rate. <P>SOLUTION: A cutout 50 of rigid substrate 32 of the light transmitting/receiving module 12A is shorter than a cutout 51 formed on the rigid substrate 33 of the light transmitting/receiving module 12B in the size in the transmitting/receiving direction of a light signal. Whereby, a difference in length is absorbed between a shield component 70 which connects the light emitting surface of a light transmitting submodule 22 to a connection surface of an optical fiber 82, and a shield component 71 which connects a light receiving surface of a light receiving submodule 24 to a connection surface of the optical fiber 82, and the whole sizes of the light transmitting/receiving module 12A and light transmitting/receiving module 12B can be set the same. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
