PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multilayer electrophotographic photoreceptor having high repetition stability and high sensitivity even when used at high temperature and high humidity. SOLUTION: In the multilayer electrophotographic photoreceptor, the following resins (A) and (B) are contained as a binder resin in a charge generating layer in the following respective amounts based on the total amount of the binder resin in the charge generating layer. (A) A polyvinyl butyral resin having a degree of butyralization of 60 to <70 mol%: 40-80 wt.%, (B) a polyvinyl butyral resin having a degree of butyralization of≥70 mol%; 20-60 wt.%.
