PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive sheet feeder capable of restraining noise and vibration generated when feeding a sheet, and an image forming device having this sheet feeder. SOLUTION: At least a sheet carrying means 55a and a driving transmitting means 105 for driving a sheet feeding means and the sheet carrying means 55a by receiving driving from an image forming device body, are surrounded by a sound insulating member 101 arranged on a surface facing the image forming device body. This sound insulating member 101 is formed of an elastic member, and is brought into pressure contact with the image forming device body while elastically deforming the sound insulating member 101 when installed in the image forming device body.
