Upon a hundred years' exploitation of the core pit RTB Bor-Majdanpek we got a core pit of extremely low-grade copper ore below 0,6 % per ton and with degraded are in space of 1500 km2. Procedure and equipment that complying with economic and ecological criteria is selective ionic exchange of copper ions from the solution with a copper content 300-500 mg/1. By application of selective ion resins a solution with copper content from 40-50 g/l that can be processed into cathode copper of high-grade purity. A reverse osmosis module, with the exception of the fact that as a result it gives ultra pure water, can be used as a device that increases concentration of copper at the input thereof. Modular way of building significantly reduces expenses of assembling, maintenance and exploitation. Besides, modular way of building up gives possibility to adjust the plant to different input parameters and different production capacity. |
