<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical guidwire provided with a coil spring consisting of a strong and thin strand, whose diameter can be reduced and which is excellent in insertion property, torque transmission property and imaging property. <P>SOLUTION: In the medical guidewire having a core wire consisting of a distal end side small diameter part and a proximal end side large diameter part whose diameter is larger than that of the distal end side small diameter part, the distal end side small diameter part of the wire core wire is covered with the coil spring, and the strand of at least the distal end part of the coil spring consists of a platinum tungsten alloyed wire. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
