PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network management apparatus detecting abnormality even in the network provided with an automatic communication route changing function. SOLUTION: A route monitoring part 73 is provided in a processing part 7 having a node monitoring part 72 for monitoring the abnormality of the node equipment of a monitoring object network not shown in the figure, and the abnormality of a communication route connecting the node equipment of the network is monitored as well. At the time, the route between the node equipment constituting the network is compared with a state at the normal time, and abnormality occurrence is judged when the route is changed.
