<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering lock device capable of performing preferable lock/unlock of steering lock. <P>SOLUTION: A lock gear portion 5 constituted of a plurality of projecting portions 5a and recessed portions 5b provided so as to be extended in an axial direction is provided at an outer periphery surface of a steering shaft 4. A lock slider 6 provided so as to be moved in the axial direction and a rotational direction of the steering shaft 4 and having a regulating portion 8 engaged with the lock gear portion 5 is provided at the outer periphery surface of the steering shaft 4. A lock driving mechanism 3 for performing a regulation motion for regulating the rotation of the steering shaft 4, a regulation release motion for enabling rotation of the steering shaft 4, and an engagement adjusting motion for moving the lock slider 6 to the rotational direction of the steering shaft 4 to expedite engagement when the regulating portion 8 can not be engaged with the lock gear portion 5 at the time of regulation motion is provided at a steering column tube 7. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
