PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a pest-controlling agent hardly having such defects as insufficiency in effectiveness and limitations in use caused by acquisition of resistivity by the pest, existing as various kinds of problems in conventional pest-controlling agents, although many pest-controlling agents have been used over many years. SOLUTION: This invention is completed by carrying out various kinds of examinations as anthranilamide-based compounds. The invention provides the anthranilamide-based compound represented by formula (I) (wherein, R<SP>1</SP>is a halogen, an alkyl, a haloalkyl, or the like; R<SP>2</SP>and R<SP>3</SP>are each a halogen, an alkyl, a haloalkyl, or the like; A is an alkyl substituted with Y; Y is a 3-4C cycloalkyl which may be substituted with at least one substituent selected from the group consisting of a halogen, an alkyl and a haloalkyl; (m) is 0-4; (n) is 0 or 1; and (q) is 0-4) or a salt thereof.
