PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet carrying device capable of correctly detecting a tip position of a sheet even if the sheet is curled, and stably carrying the sheet, and an image forming device provided with the device. SOLUTION: On a non-rotational shaft 11 to rotatably retain a driven roller 8 that is in pressure contact with a carrying roller 7 to be driven and rotated, a tip detection means to detect the tip of the sheet P is composed.
