摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cause a die cushion mechanism to adequately generate force with high responsiveness, the force required when force control is applied to a servo motor which is a drive source of the die cushion mechanism. SOLUTION: A controller 10 in the die cushion mechanism 12 to generate the force F to a slide 16 of a press machine using the servo motor 14 as the drive source is provided with: a force command unit 18 to command the force F to be generated in the die cushion mechanism 12; a force detection unit 20 to detect the force F generated by the die cushion mechanism 12; a motor speed detection unit 22 to detect the operational speed of the servo motor 14; a slide speed detection unit 24 to detect the moving speed V of the slide 16; and a force control unit 26 to apply the force control to the servo motor 14 based on the force command value C1 commanded by the force command unit 18, the force detection value D1 detected by the force detection unit 20, the motor speed detection value D2 detected by the motor speed detection unit 22, and the slide speed detection value D3 detected by the slide speed detection unit 24.
