PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separation module having a high capacity, high safety or high capacity stability, excellent in preservation stability and reduced in the number of residual blood hollow fiber membranes. SOLUTION: In the separation module wherein both ends of hollow fiber membrane bundles comprising a polysulfone resin containing polyvinyl pyrrolidone are fixed by a resin, the ratio of hollow fiber membranes, of which the angle of inclination at the parts fixed by the resin is 15°or above, is 0.05% or below and the UV (220-350 nm) absorbance in a liquid extractant of hollow fiber membranes when a test defined by dialytic type kidney device manufacturing approval standards is applied to ten hollow membrane bundles, which are obtained by dividing the hollow fiber membrane bundle in its longitudinal direction after the separation module is sterilized and preserved in a dry state for three months at room temperature and/or preserved in a wet state for one year at room temperature, is 0.10 or below as an average value.
