PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ionized alkaline water generator which is excellent in convenience of use because the generator can control the flow rate of raw water without troubling a user by automatically controlling the flow rate of the raw water while comparing the measured value of a flow rate sensor and a flow rate required for generating ion water with a set pH value, can promptly obtain ion water with a desired pH value, and is excellent in practicality because the generator can quickly cope with a water pressure change of the raw water, and its flow control method. SOLUTION: The ionized alkaline water generator comprises a water supply pipe 4 where one end is connected to a raw water pipe 2 through a cock 3 and the other end is connected to an electrolytic cell 9, and the flow rate sensor 7 installed in the water supply pipe 4 and for measuring the flow rate of the raw water in the water supply pipe 4, and comprises a flow control part 5 arranged in the water supply pipe 4, and a control part 17 which regulates the flow rate of the water supply pipe 4 by comparing the flow rate measured by the flow rate sensor 7 and the flow rate required for generating the ion water with the set pH value to control the flow control part 5.
