<p>The injection molded plastics outer skin (1), for a vehicle fender, has a stiffened reinforcement (4) at the edge towards the vehicle bodywork (2), away from the visible side (10), where a defined joint (3) is formed between them. The stiffening is integrated into the outer skin structure as a U-shaped bend (5) with two bent legs (5a,5b). The edge stiffening has a depth of at least 6 mm.</p> |
