The covering unit has a bobbin (4) connected with a clip (3), where the bobbin comprises a bobbin retainer with a corresponding clip retainer of a wall (1) of the covering unit. The clip is connected with an edge (2) of the wall. The clip consists of two clip arms, which lie on opposite sides of the wall and form a gap with a gap length. The clip and/or clip retainer exhibits a guiding medium. An independent claim is also included for a machine with a covering unit.
