The sample separator for a conveyor has a rotary disc deflector (23) and a separating blade (25) at a splitting point for the flow of articles into two. The conveyor (11) upstream of the blade feeds two conveyors (13,14;15,16) in the splitting zone. The disc separator has multiple segments (34,35) mounted on a shaft (53) extending transversely of the flow. The segments can be adjusted for different sample characteristics. |
