A motor vehicle with a movable roof structure

A motor vehicle 100 is disclosed in which a roof structure 103 is moveable between two positions so as to transform the motor vehicle from one type of vehicle to another type of vehicle. The roof structure 103 is pivotally connected by a hinge mechanism 120 at a front edge and a lift mechanism 140 is used to raise and lower a rear end of the roof structure 103 which changes the inclination of the roof structure 103 relative to the ground upon which the motor vehicle 100 is resting. The roof structure 103 may comprise a glass panel towards its rear edge so that when the roof is lowered (figure 4) the glass panel forms a rear screen.
