A bill storage unit (50) according to an aspect of the invention has a bill storage means (52) to store bills that has an installation area (53) to install a bill validator (10) which takes in a bill to validate validity of the bill, a feeding means(54) that feeds the bill delivered from the bill validator (10) to the bill storage means(52) along a predetermined feeding path, and a correcting means (60, 68) which is formed of at least part of the feeding means (54) and corrects a fold of the bill by applying a bending force to bend the bill to the bill while holding the bill on at least part of the feeding path. |
