The guide has a longitudinally extending channel (2) to encompass a lateral edge of a window pane. A longitudinally extending, flexible seal (3) is provided in the channel to guide the edge. The seal is expanded transverse to a pane take-off direction for an intake of the pane into the channel. A pane intake region (4) has bars (5-7) to shield all sides of the seal for axially securing the seal in the take-off direction. An independent claim is also included for a vehicle body component such as multi-function support or door module support for a motor vehicle, comprising a pane guide.
