The shelf is cut out of a sheet of thin metal (2) and bent into a shape with a bottom board and two vertically positioned lateral segments. Flanges at the rear edges can be used for attaching the unit to a wall. Two small flaps are cut into the lower area of the lateral segments. The outer books can be positioned with the outer parts of their covers outside the shelf unit but are prevented from opening by the flaps. |
