The method involves evaluating recognition and readability range of light signals based on measured luminance or intensity of light. The recognition range is evaluated by using a threshold value for the total luminance or intensity of the light. The value is obtained by multiplying the luminance or intensity of an individual light with the power of the number of light spots (101) and corrected factor.
