A method for deploying both parachute loads and free fall parachutists from an aircraft has the loads deployed conventionally and with the parachutists standing on a platform fitted over the load rails. The platform is moved to the rear of the ramp after the last load has been dropped enabling the parachutists to drop off without tripping over the rails. The platform is retracted after the parachutists have dropped off.
