The system has a diagonal belt (16) and a lap belt (14). An inflatable chamber provided in the system is divided into several sections by the lap belt and the diagonal belt through a longitudinal connection (20) of upper layer and lower layer of the belts. The longitudinal connection of the layers extends in a transverse direction of the seat belt. A belt slot and a latch are provided on outer edges of the seat belt.
