A flexible sun shade, e.g. for a conservatory or sun terrace, has the shade in panels (1) secured to clips (4) sliding on two parallel stays (2) or wires. The clips are linked by flexible links (5) which are shorter than the panel widths to form the pleats. The shade can be partially opened with some of the pleats remaining at either end. The wire stays can be fitted to the conservatory frame via tensioning fittings.
