An ink cartridge (20) is composed of the body of a container provided with an ink supply port for discharging ink into a print head for housing ink and a cap for sealing the body of the container so that the container can communicate with the air, a semiconductor memory device (30) storing information related to ink is mounted on the surface of the body of the container or the cap and is coated with a film organizer which can be peeled. The semiconductor memory device is prevented by the film organizer as much as possible from being exposed so as to prevent the information of ink from being lost due to the rough handling of a user.
