Apparatus for spray-drying

Finely granular laundry or other detergent (IA) consists of a direct spray drying product with a bulk density of 220-500 g/l and particle diameter d50 in the 0.12-0.6 mm range. Independent claims are also included for: (1) Finely granular laundry or other detergent (IB) containing surfactant(s) and inorganic and optionally organic builder(s), which consists of a direct spray drying product and in which the inorganic constituents are water-soluble; (2) Laundry and other detergents containing (IA) and/or (IB), preferably 5-90 wt.%, and other components; (3) Production of these detergents; (4) Apparatus for spray drying compositions containing solvent, especially water; and (5) After-treatment of the detergent by treating the original product in a rounder, preferably for no longer than 4 minutes.
