The vehicle has an axle (1) steerable over an Ackermann steering (4), which is constructed with a main steering cylinder. Position of the cylinder is modifiable in a mode affecting the steerable movement of steering. Swivellable movements of the axle wheels starting from the changed position and from the translatory movement of a piston rod (7) of the cylinder are super imposed based on the requested steering angle. The axle is steerable over the Ackermann steering to swivellably move the axle wheels, based on the translatory movement of the piston rod of the main steering cylinder.
