The cabinet furniture has a cabinet body (1) which can be locked partially by a sliding door (3). The hollow sections are made of relatively ductile materials e.g. plastic and the sliding door and gripping strip are made of materials resistant to bending e.g. aluminum. By means of a rigid guidance member e.g. a guide pin, the guide way (6) is routed into a section of the sliding door.
