<p>SUSPENSION ALCOHOLYSIS OF ETHYLENE/VINYL ESTER CO-POLYMERS IN PARTICLE FORM. G1.- is carried out by suspending the particles or pellets in a lower aliphatic monohydric alcohol containing at least 1.5% catalyst and reacting for less than about 20 hours at a temp. above 35 degrees C and below that at which the particles dissolve or agglomerate. Suitable co-polymers contain 75 to 96 mol % ethylene acid 4 to 25 mol.% vinyl ester.</p> |
